Catherine Hall

Catherine qualified as an Environmental Health Officer (EHO) in 1985 and has worked in Glasgow, Hamilton, Midlothian and West Lothian Councils practicing environmental health and specialising in both food safety and hygiene and health and safety.

On leaving the Council in 1995, Catherine worked for Russell Athletic sportswear as European Health & Safety Manager providing health and safety advice and instruction across numerous manufacturing and retail outlets in Europe.

Catherine moved to the Cooperative Society in 1999 where she was responsible for food hygiene and health and safety across the groups shops, pharmacies, construction sites, farms and offices.

Catherine has won awards for health and safety for both Russell Athletic and the Cooperative. She has won a variety of other awards including for a board game used in training, but particularly with young persons and those with learning difficulties.

Catherine formed CHHS in 2004 and has been building a customer base and establishing a small friendly consultancy service to a range of businesses. It offers hygiene and safety advice to enable compliance and offers training services to improve knowledge in-house. Training is relaxed, informal and fun. Results are second to none.

CHHS is an accredited Royal Environmental Health Institute Scotland (REHIS) training centre.
